Scott Schildknecht is the owner of North Bay Inspection and is a previous certified ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) Certified Home Inspector. Scott has been assisting clients with understanding their homes with his over ten years of home inspection experience. Scott has inspected over 5000 single family homes! Scott has a well-earned reputation of integrity, construction knowledge and attention to detail. His reports are second to none with respect to both detail and depth.

Scott has worked in the construction trades for over 15 years prior to becoming a home inspector. Scott has worked on all aspects of homes from the rooftop to foundation and literally everything in between. Utilizing his many years of field experience he can approach a home inspection from a holistic point of view to better communicate the building’s health to his clients.

Scott fully understands that his job is to effectively communicate the condition of a structure to his clients in an understandable, neutral and unbiased way. His number one mission is to educate his clients so that they truly understand the property prior to the transaction.

Scott continues his quest to maintain expertise in many area of construction through required on-going education and regular consultation with fellow inspectors on many dedicated web sites and social media pages. Scott maintains constant contact with others in the industry including the previous owner of North Bay Inspection, John Marshall with his over 45 years of construction and inspection experience.

In his free time Scott enjoys activities including meditation\mindfullness, kayaking,paddle boarding, mountain biking, Tae Kwon Do, snow skiing, hiking ,softball, learning guitar, hanging out with his two cats and close friends and family

About John Marshall consultant and Inspector

Starting his construction career as a general laborer (starting the summer he turned 13), he eventually became a journeyman carpenter in his early 20’s and has done almost all other aspects of construction from excavation to finish punch lists on multi-million dollar projects. After going back to school and

receiving a degree in Business Management from Sonoma State in 1989, John founded Marshall Construction Company.

In 1999, it was time for a career change and John decided to pursue a career in home inspection. In 2000, John earned his International Code Council – International Conference of Building Officials Building Inspector Certification. John had both ASHI and CREIA inspector Certifications.

Late in 2001, John launched North Bay Inspection and was able to earn a loyal client base by offering high-quality inspections and reports at a fair price.John has professionally inspected over 8000 structures. Today, John works only occasionally as an inspector but primarily works in the background supporting Scott and North Bay Inspection.
